Auditions are held in August for the upcoming season which runs parallel to the Forsyth County school calendar of August through May. Auditions can also be scheduled throughout the season for open positions.

• Technique 

  • Strings = Minimum 2 x 2-8ve scales with shifting

  • Winds and brass = 2 x 2-8ve scales

  • Percussion = Technical excerpt

• Choice solo piece up to 2 minutes​

• Sight reading
